Menji, April 19, 2024 — The Menji Council approved an emergency public tender for the rehabilitation and construction of potable water schemes in three communities within the Menji Municipality of Lebialem Division, South West Region.

The approval was issued under Tender File No. 04/ONIT/MC/MCITB/2024, dated April 19, 2024, and authorized by the Mayor of Menji Council following validation by the Council’s Internal Tender’s Board. The projects were financed under the 2024 Public Investment Budget.

Project Scope and Financial Details

The emergency tender covered three water projects structured into separate lots. The Letia Water Project was approved for rehabilitation at a cost of 10,500,000 CFA francs, while the Mbinchu Water Scheme was approved for construction at 10,000,000 CFA francs. The Nchenallah Water Scheme was also approved for construction with an allocation of 11,500,000 CFA francs.

All three projects were financed under the same budget head (Imputation No. 582710002641917523412), bringing the total approved cost to 32,000,000 CFA francs, inclusive of taxes. The respective record numbers were IZ 03620 (Letia), IZ 03621 (Mbinchu), and IZ 03619 (Nchenallah).

Implementation and Oversight
